Why did we start Alopecia UK?When Vicky Spencer found that her hair was falling out, one of the first places she looked for information and support was the internet. She didn’t find what she hoped to, and felt there was a gap for a UK based website for people with alopecia or an interest in alopecia. We therefore decided to start Alopecia UK, a mainly web-based information, advice and support resource primarily, but not exclusively, geared to the needs of people in the UK. Alopecia UK is growing very quickly and it has become an important resource. We are always looking for contributors and if you are interested in helping either by writing material for the site or by giving us feedback on the content of the site, helping us to develop and improve Alopecia UK - we would love to hear from you.
