Alopecia UK is very lucky to have a number of passionate ambassadors who wish to raise awareness of not only the charity but alopecia as a whole too.
What is an ambassador?
An ambassador is a celebrity or public figure who acts as a figurehead for Alopecia UK. Our ambassadors are not trustees and do not have any of the legal responsibilities of a trustee and are not involved in the management of the charity. Our ambassadors lend high-profile support to Alopecia UK. This will support many of Alopecia UK’s functions like fundraising, campaigning and awareness-building.
Ambassadors may support Alopecia UK by:
Being named on our literature and publicity material
Providing quotes for publications, websites etc
Being interviewed by the media and generating coverage
Encouraging contributions and sponsorships
Engaging with Alopecia UK via social media
Attending Alopecia UK events
Raising the public profile of the charity
Helping the charity attract new supporters
Key Characteristics of an Ambassador
Integrity (honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility and professionalism)
Compassion, empathy and understanding
Passion about improving the lives of those with alopecia
