If so 'Ask an Expert' is just what you need. We have dermatologists specialising in alopecia, wig experts, semi-permanent make-up experts and our patron Margaret Baker on hand to answer your questions.

How do I get my question answered?

All you have to do is go to the bottom of this page and select who to send your question to. If you have any problems using the form email paul@alopeciaonline.org.uk.

Where does the answer appear?

All answers are posted on the Alopecia UK website. You will not receive a personal response, we hope that others will benefit from reading the answer.

What type of questions is suitable?

We will try and answer any question related to alopecia. However, we can not provide specific answers to personal questions such as 'what type of alopecia do I have?'.

Can I submit a question anonymously?

It is absolutely fine to submit your question anonymously, but you can also tell us who you are if you are happy for us to publish your name.

When will my question be answered?

We will answer your questions as soon as we can, this will depend on how quickly our experts are able to respond.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee to answer all the questions that are sent to us but we will do our best to get as many answered as possible.
