I am feeling very sorry for myself - I have the WORST cold I have had for years and can't help thinking that if my immune system was doing what it is supposed to do, rather than expending all its energy mucking around with my hair follicles, I'd be recovering a heck of a lot quicker (or at least might not have caught it in the first place!).
So ... I was wondering whether to take something to boost my immune system, but then remembered that alopecia is sometimes described as the immune system in 'overdrive mode'.  So what is going on - does it need suppressing or boosting?
I know I can only treat the symptoms of the cold at this stage, but I really don't fancy going thro winter catching everything going.
Very confused!
