hi bren you can buy allsorts of strength minoxidil over the net i think up to 15% amazon sell them  such as perfect image solutions and the price is good compaired to rip off clinics in the uk.
Some contain a dht blocker.
I myself am a bit wary of using a higher dose of the blood presure drug minoxidil as it may cause more side affects that 5% dose, and as stated by some it may not be any better.

Hi bren

I get mine from a clinic in london, expensive but a reliable product on private prescription after the proper health check was carried out.

I have no side effects, except that the hair is a little dry.  I use Palmers coconut lotion which helps this and smells fab.

My hair is of normal thickness almost all over except the two stubborn temple areas but these are slowly slowly growing.  Should be able to cover them soon if the growth around them carries on.
it is about 5-6 inches long on top and I am growing it down now.  When I am away from my home town for a few days or on holiday I don't wear my wig any more as it looks ok with an alice band.

It has been nearly 4 years but i almost have a full head of hair.  A big improvement on the total hair loss in 2008

hi millie let me guess the clinic i think it begins with a bel  anyway they do a 12.5% with medroxyprogestorone and many other various shampoos and i think there is a guy on you tube that has had some success at that clinic.
Millie you have male pattern loss is that right?and have you grown back complete bald spots as that would be helpfull as i have some.

I have some bad news for people using the us product from perfect image there minoxidil 5% 10% and 15% with azelaic acid has been put out of bussiness from us health agency the fda they say that it is not safe and be withdrawn from sale. So with dr lees xandrox also gone due to fda its a sad day from anyone getting success from this treatment,a guy on youtube was having great success with perfect im minox and he says all is not lost and has now gone back to cheap 5% minox and a 10% azelaic acid cream and he has said in fact it may be better than the 15% minox+azelaic acid from p image. His regrime is wash hair with regenpure shampoo leave on for 5 mins then to apply some nioxin or tricomin for body of the hair as regen sham can dry the hair out a bit, then to apply the azeilac acid cream and if going out applies 5% spectral minoxidil as its not greasy. If hes at home he says he uses cheap kirkland minox 5% which is greasy. Now to be honest he has a great head of hair so im not sure what he was like before the minoxidil use i have emailed him to see if he uses propecia as well, but according to him he has had loads of mail from people that had great success with the perfect image minox so if thats true its quite sad the us fda has stopped these companies from selling it.Will the uk nice agency tell clinics using this higher dose minox stop them as well we will have to wait and see.

To use the extender spray applicator, first assemble the metered-spray applicator and then follow the instructions provided to attach the extender spray applicator. Pump the metered-spray or extender spray applicator six times for each dose. Try not to inhale the mist. Place the large cap on the metered-spray bottle or the small cap on the extender spray nozzle when not in use.EmbarrassedDead

I am reading on some places that the hair will start to fall out if you quit with Minoxidil (Rogaine and other products). At the same time i read on other places that dermatologists (a specialist here in Sweden) tells that this is not the case if you got AA its only Alopecia Androgena and its a good treatment used as a bridge until the body can start the produce hair itself?

Any comment about this? what is true and what is not true! :)

Hello everybody..

Sorry about my English...

I read Millie`s story two days ago and decided to start Minoxidil 5% treatment too. I ordered from Ebay. Just arrived...Kirklands Minoxildil 5%....BUT...there is notice NOT FOR USE BY WOMEN !

So what? Are there minoxidil for women ? Or this warning is just because there is not proper research ...so they better say not to use than use..? Or there is only one Minoxidil...

Help

Thanks..
