Hi all,

I have alopecia areata and im 24 years old...I'm about to purchase my first wig and quite nervous. After reading some of your experiences and views I feel so much better. I was hoping that those of you in the London area could point me in the right direction to buy one?

I'm looking for human hair full lace wigs? After researching on wigs I feel this is the best option for myself. Id like to be able to tie my hair into a ponytail and bun, this wig would allow me to do this.

Any comments would be very much appreciated

Lace wigs have the finest bases so cooler to wear, I would ask about the silk top to as this gives a realistic parting.
will you be securing the wig with tape? the nape tends to be difficult to keep secure due to the movement of the neck
I'm not sure you will be able to have a high pony tail but certainly a low one will work

Hi Virginia,
I have read about the silk tops and they sound awesome! I am stunned by how amazing the new glueless wigs are and how real they look! Have you had any experience with these?

I wear a partial system that measures 7x8  it is all lace with a silk top which IS amazing.

sorry no experience of glue less wigs but I'm sure some one will be able to give their view on them

Hi

I don't wear lace wigs but do wear my hair in ponytails and messy buns all the time.  I wear Vacuum wigs, if you want to know anything pm me as I'm happy to help.
