Hi HKsm

Sorry to hear about your situation - it will get better I promise.  Which doctors are you going to in HK?  I go to OT&P in Central, they are a good western doctors and my dermatologist is called Dr S Yi Wong and she is lovely.  She also works at a DermaCare clinic based in Central.  I have the dermajet head shots once every month and my hair is growing back Smile but the older parts of the hair are falling out in patches again Confused.  Try to remain as positive as you can, I found the best thing to do it to be as open as possible to people about everything.  Although my family aren't here, my friends have all been amazing and I mean, AMAZING!!  So although your friend is about to have a baby, I would speak to her about everything.

I had a load of tests but nothing came back bad apart from a reduced white blood cell count.  I was run down, stressed, lack of sleep (the usual that HK can offer with its hectic lifestyle) so I ve been trying to sort out my life and eat more healthily / exercise more etc.  I also found that accupunture was brilliant to de-stress and also help me sleep.  Also try stuff like yoga or meditation here...sounds a bit out there, but at the time I was trying everything and I could not recommend it more!!

There is a hairdressers in Soho on Staunton Street called Hippfish - http://www.hippfish.com/ They are also real hair wig specialists and the guys Jonathan and Laki are brillant!!  I got two lace wigs made from them, chinese hair but they highlighted them blonde, its like my old hair and you cannot tell the difference! I'm so happy with them, they have brought all my confidence back.  I was first a bit paranoid about wearing them especially at work but now, I can't live without them.  They are rather pricey though but they have so many different options.  The two together cost HK$22,000 which is about GBP2K but they cut, coloured, styled them both for me.  I can also leave one in there to get styled if i m off to a party or something.

If you want to get in contact though, let me know.  I know that I could have definitely done with knowing someone else here going through the same thing.

Take care!
