Hi all, a little bit about me.
34 year old Male suffering from MPB. I'm strongly considering a hair transplant after losing quite a bit of hair, think I'm a Norwood 3 on the Hamilton scale. Tried Propecia on and off for several years, been taking it for the last 8 months.

Looked into Hair transplants after seeing Wayne Rooney but the price was way too expensive. Recently a friend told me about a local clinic in Portsmouth called the Maitland Clinic. I contacted them and had a consultation with a Dr Ball who said I would need approximately 2000 grafts/4000 hairs. It was the FUE method, the price was affordable, he told me to go away and think about it. I've done nothing else since but think about it. I'd like to know if anyone has had a hair transplant, if so are they glad they did it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Rye.

Hi
I do know of a woman who had it done and it just left her with a line / fine scar in the middle of the back of her head.
Sorry it did not thicken the top and everything fell out that went in.
Anyway that's how it went for her

i was amazed to learn one of the men at my hair salon had a transplant.....it looks amazing, even the doner area didn't look obvious but he does have thick hair at the back.
If I had good density I would definitely consider it.
But like any surgery don't go for the cheaper option just because it's cheap.

Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it turns out.

Thnink about megasession. I am sure that the majority of the doctors that are part of ISHRS would consider 2000 a megasession but  I feel that anything over 4000 should be considered a megasession. Do it once.

Hello all,

I am a new person in this group. Hair transplant is a good suggestion for Male Pattern

Baldness. If you will take good hair transplant treatment, get good results. In my relation also suffered

from MPB. He took hair transplant in London. He got good results within a short period.
