My hair seems to be similar to yours in style - a chin length straight bob. I was diagnosed with AA last summer, and although one patch has grown back, the worst (on the top, unfortunately) have progressed and I have acquired quite a bit of loss at the nape of my neck too.
I have just today had an 'Enchantop' hair topper cut for me by my hairdresser, and I have to say that I'm absolutely thrilled with the result. I've been doing creative things with scarves thanks to videos on Youtube (quite successful), tried a synthetic top piece (not very good - texture not similar enough to my own hair) but today had a 'Beautiful Betsy' hair topper cut by my hairdresser to match my own remaining hair. I'm absolutely thrilled with the result, which looks very natural and actually makes me feel much more glamorous than I did before I lost my hair! The advantage of having a real hair piece is that it can be styled at the same time as your own hair and as a result blends in beautifully. Have a look at the website - www.beautifulbetsy.co.uk, and see what you think. Happy to send you some photos of my own 'do' if that would give you any encouragement!
