Alopecia UK has two full time members of staff who are responsible for the day to day running of the charity. Jen Chambers is Alopecia UK's Events and Support Manager. Amy Johnson is Alopecia UK's Communications & Fundraising Manager. Jen and Amy are supported by a team of core volunteers, all of whom help deliver the services Alopecia UK provides.
Alopecia UK has a governing board of 5 trustees. It is the responsibility of the trustees to ensure that the charity works within its trust deed. The charity also has an advisory panel made up of experts who provide us with advice when needed and ensure that the material written is accurate.
Alopecia UK has been volunteer-led for the first 10 years and our committed volunteers have worked so hard to keep the charity going. Only in 2014 have we reached a point where we have a more dedicated resource in place. We are currently in an exciting transition period and we hope to be able to improve further on what the charity has achieved since it began in 2004.
