Are you living in England and aged 12-24?
Have you experience of acne, alopecia, eczema and/or psoriasis?
Do you want to share your story to help other young people going through the same thing?
Abi McNiven is a researcher at the University of Oxford and she is looking for people aged 12-24 who live in England to interview about their experiences of living with a skin condition (acne, alopecia, eczema or psoriasis).
This research will help produce a new section on the young people’s part of www.healthtalk.org on acne, alopecia, eczema and psoriasis. This unique, award winning website is run by a national charity and allows you to watch, listen and read people talking about their real-life experiences of health, illness and lifestyles.
Alopecia UK are supporting the project by getting involved with the steering group as well as recruiting two young people to be young advisory board members for the steering group. Charity Manager Jen went along to the first meeting with Hannah and Grace. It was a really productive day and a great opportunity for young people to get involved and get their ideas heard.
We'd love to see lots of other young people get involved with this project to ensure the end product meets the needs of young people. It can only do that with their input.
If you would like to take part in an interview or would simply like more information about the research, please contact Abi by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone on 01865 617944.
