Ella's Got Talent!

5th August 2015

We are delighted to announce that one of this year's Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists, singer Ella Shaw, is putting on a show in her hometown of Clitheroe, Lancashire, to raise awareness and funds for Alopecia UK.

The 'Ella Shaw & Friends' show will be held at The Grand Venue, Clitheroe on Saturday 5th September 2015.

We had a chat with Ella to find out more about why she decided to put on this show in aid of Alopecia UK........

Tell us a little about the upcoming show....

I'm going to be singing mostly original songs on the night telling a story of my life. I have some incredible musicians playing with me on the night and the amazing 'The Sakyi Four'  (fellow BGT semi-finalists) are supporting me. I hope the night will take you on a journey with my emotion filled lyrics and goosebump melodies.

Was appearing on Britain's Got Talent everything you expected it to be?

It was definitely something different for me and not something that happens to everyone. I'm glad I did it because it's given me confidence in my original material because of how well people took to my own song 'Summertime'. I keep saying to people when they ask me if I was upset when I left; 'This is only the beginning'.

Why have you chosen Alopecia UK as the charity to benefit from your show?

I have chosen alopecia UK because I suffered from alopecia for five years. It was a tough time in my life but it helped to make me who I am today. Throughout the show I'm telling a story of my life with my original songs and alopecia was a part of my life so I couldn't think of a better charity to support on the night. It really means something to me and I hope I can make a difference.

What are your hopes and plans for the future?

I want to make a difference with my music and I want it to inspire people. I've never wanted to do anything else since I was a little girl and I've worked hard for so many years. I absolutely love singing and writing and I can't imagine doing anything else. I hope one day to get my big break and dream of people all over the world coming to see me in concert. Like I said earlier 'this is only the beginning'.

We are so grateful to Ella for getting in touch with us and doing her show in aid of Alopecia UK. Tickets are on sale now from The Grand. Click here to buy yours!
