Sabina Friman is in her final year of a BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree at Edinburgh Napier University. She is currently in the process of conducting research for her major project "Alopecia & Identity: Women’s Stories of Hair Loss". The aim of the project is to raise awareness of women with alopecia areata and to find out how alopecia affects their lives - to tell their stories.
Participants need to be UK based, female, aged between 18 and 30 years old and experiencing alopecia areata in any form. Being part of the project would mean participating in small creative exercises during one week, from the comfort of your home.
As part of Sabina’s final year, her major project is an extensive graphic piece that will form part of her graduating grade. This project will culminate at the end of the year in May. The primary research Sabina is now conducting informs this major project, inspiring Sabina with ideas on where to take the project, graphically speaking.
Sabina's project is supported by her tutors and has been evaluated and approved against the ethical research policies of Edinburgh Napier University. All research findings will remain confidential, and the dissemination of research will be discussed and approved by all participants.
If you are interested in taking part, please contact Sabina directly at email@example.com for further information.
