On Bank Holiday Monday (29th August 2016), Alopecia UK will be represented by volunteers in the Midhurst Carnival parade in West Sussex, raising awareness of alopecia.
Our entry in the parade will comprise of Mark Galbraith's "AlopeciaMobile" open top MG sports car, and volunteers in our blue t-shirts, with bubble blowers, balloons, light sticks, and lots of enthusiasm!
The parade is the grand finale of the MADhurst arts festival, which takes place in Midhurst (West Sussex) from 20th - 29th August.
The parade of floats with dancers and musicians will set off around midday, and make its way past spectators along Midhurst's North Street, for arrival at the event showground at around 1:00pm in Cowdray Park, where festivities will continue until 8:00pm.
The theme of the parade is "time travel", which Mark and his team will be honouring by entering his 21st century MG, followed by a convoy of older MG sports cars from previous decades (provided by Mark's friends at the MG Owners' Club).
Weather permitting, it should be an excellent day out, and great exposure for the charity, where both the "Alopeciamobile" and our blue t-shirted volunteers will be seen by huge numbers of the public.
If you're in the West Sussex area on Bank Holiday Monday, why not come along to the Midhurst carnival to cheer the team along? It's a free family day out and lots of fun.
