Young people with alopecia are among a group of people doing a sponsored bike ride to raise money and awareness of alopecia. The riders can tackle 24 miles or it may be possible to ride an easier 18, or an even gentler 8 miles around Rutland Water near Stamford Lincolnshire.
The event is taking place on the 24th March and is scheduled to start around 10.30 am. If you live nearby why not come and support everyone on the day? For more information on Rutland Water have a look at www.rutlandwater.org.uk
Two of the people taking part are Emily and Paige, who are both 15 and have alopecia universalis.
Alopecia UK are extremely grateful to everyone taking part.
Update: The day was a brilliant success with around 25 people completing the 24-mile route. Although it was pretty nippy the rain held off for the ride. Alopecia UK would like to thank all those who took part or were involved in the organisation and co-ordination of the day. A special mention goes to Claire and Emily and Richard for organising the day, and everyone at The Northfields pub in Stamford for their support and for the after-event celebrations.
