10 year old Ben Sudell has something special planned for Alopecia UK this September (Alopecia Awareness Month). We'll let Ben tell you more......
"I started with Alopecia during the Easter school holidays. I feel quite lucky as I haven't lost all my hair! The reason I want to raise money for Alopecia UK is that reading the stories on their website made me feel really positive about going back to school.
I was very nervous about going back to school but my friends have been great! I wanted to have a party night to raise awareness amongst my friends and have fun at the same time. I am organising a 'Wigs & Waistcoats' disco on Saturday 17th September 2016 from 7pm at my local village hall.
In my photo you will see I am wearing a Blackburn Rovers shirt. They are my favourite team. I love football as it gives me great focus when I am feeling down."
Ben's disco sounds like it will be great and definitely something fun to support this September.
The village hall where it will take place is Kirkland and Catterall Memorial Hall, Churchtown, Lancashire, PR3 0HS.
Tickets are £10 per adult and £5 per child. They are available from Garstang Travel, either call in person or telephone 01995 606494.
If you can't get along to Ben's disco but would like to support his fundraising efforts, please leave a donation on his fundraising page.
Good luck Ben! We hope you have a great night with your friends and anyone else kind enough to purchase tickets!
If you have anything planned for Alopecia Awareness Month this September, please be sure to let us know!
